The DLC Leadership Program Is Live

This Monday, we kicked off the Digital Leadership Certification (DLC) program with our first pilot cohort. We’ve been building something we believe the gaming industry genuinely needs, and we’re proud to share that it’s now underway, led by gaming psychologist and Principal Program Director Dr. Rachel Kowert and Assistant Director Kelli Dunlap. 🎮

The community leaders in our pilot cohort represent some of the biggest platforms in gaming. Collectively, their communities reach a minimum of 200,000 people. That’s the scale of impact we’re working toward from day one.

The Partners

We’re proud to be partner with organizations who believe in this work:

Riot Games, Roblox, Twitch, Games for Change, Christchurch Call, GamerSafer, Teach Us Consent, Integrity Institute, Modulate, Throughline, Concordia University, University of St. Andrews, GIFCT, Keywords Studios, Nofiltr, and more.

If your organization wants to be part of shaping safer online communities, we’d love to hear from you.

Featured Experts

The pilot courses are led by practitioners and researchers doing some of the most important work in digital spaces today:

  • Victoria Tran — Author, Mastering Community Management

  • Matt Soeth — Executive Director, Thriving in Games Group

  • Maria Tamellini — Founder, GamerSafer

  • Henry Adams — Intelligence Director, Resolver

  • Celia Hodent — Founder, Ethical Games

Why This Matters

Healthy gaming communities are led by trained, supported people. The DLC program exists to give community moderators and digital leaders the tools, knowledge, and network to do that work well. Round 2 is on the horizon, and seats will go fast.
